I got this idea from the movie forum thread. Post the newest bands, songs, albums, whatever here.
Artist: X Song: The have nots (5)-great old school punk song. Very mellow for the genre, but catchy as hell. I've had it stuck in my head for at least 3 days now.
Artist: Misfits Album: Walk Among Us (5)-OMFG! I want this album. It has some of the best Misfits songs i've ever heard on it (Skulls, Hatebreeders, Mommy Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight for example)
Artist: X-ray Spex Song: Oh Bondage, up yours (3.5)- Great song, chick singer, saxaphone...but kind of genre typical. Though I wouldn't expect much else from the Malcom McLarren associated bands.
Artist: Generation X (3)- I've only heard 1 song of theirs, but its Billy Idol's original band. So if you're into Billy Idol, check it out.

not exactly a popular thread....
Artist: Streetlight Manifesto Songe: Here's to Life (4)-a little to long to be a 5, but great lyrics and wonderfull music. Just good ol' ska shit.
Artist: Bikini Kill Song: I like Fucking (3.5)-A truely bizzarely titled song, but a good one. Kind of generic Angry Girl style though...
Artist: Minor Threat Songe: Look Back and Laugh (5)-It's Minor Threat, what else do you need to know?

I just picked up t.A.T.u.'s new cd Dangerout and Moving a bit ago... It's what I've been listening to lately. But I figure none of you are anything remotely related to fans, so I'll just go away now.

Just picked up a few Children of Bodom cds. Only listened to one so far, but it's pretty good. Has a decent remake of rebel yell by billy idol on it. (3)
Listened to the new Static-X cd, and it licked nuts. They've been rolling downhill since Machine. (2)
Listened to Kalmah's "Swamplord". Pretty good shit. (3)

As you should.... The Glasses- Self Titled Album (1) Won this cd in a radio contest that Isha said nobody was calling into. It licks nuts. Typicall college-indie crap, like some shit from the OC soundtrack. Elvis Costello- Armed Forces (3.5) Just some good ol' Costello. Not my favorite, but good if I'm looking for somthing of the non-punk variety.

ultimately any argument that revolves around a matter of opinion, like music, is a no win situation and just pure vommiting of one's biases. That said, T.A.T.U. sucks chode. I have no respect for anyone who has to fein homosexuality to sell records and tickets.

good deal.
The Damned: Grave Disorder (4)- This is one of those punk bands from way back when. They've broken up 2 or 3 times now and the lineup is drastically different from the begining, as is the sound. But this 2001 release still kicks ass. It's still the Damned and it's damn good.

Mastodon "Leviathon" (5) - It takes a certain kind of band to do a concept album about Moby Dick, and these mother fuckers are that band. I like to call this stuff Southern Metal because it has a certain twang to it. A lot of fuckin riffs. Great cd.

Well, even though nobody's on anymore(Geesh you guys, I mean, I've been here the whole time. Where did YOU go?).
Stupid Stuff that's pretty stupid
Gnarls Barkley-Crazy. This is sorta soul/disco. Really not that great, but it can grow on you
All that new Falloutboy/yellow card crap. Crap. You get one or two mediocre songs out of 1 billion. Panic at the Disco isn't entirely awful, and Emery isn't entirely awful. They both have 1 song that's not bad. But they're not good either.
GOOD STUFF
Ok, you might not like them, but recently I discovered, (That's right, I found them. NO one else), Coheed and Cambria. Their "new" song Welcome Home is really, well, awesome for lack of a more creative and insightful name.
